Additionally, volume, plumpness and hydration can be added to the lips. This is done by placing hyaluronic acid gel into the lips at precise spots to create naturally beautiful and soft results.
Most lip fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid and are in a gel form. Your lips, like any other part of your skin, contain hyaluronic acid (HA). This HA is what helps to store moisture, and allows your skin to remain hydrated, soft, and healthy. When a hyaluronic acid gel is injected into the lips, it helps to add volume and restore that healthy plump appearance of a youthful smile.
If you look at your lips and feel they are thin, or if you are starting to notice “smoker’s lines” or wrinkles forming on the lips, lip fillers may be for you.
It is non-surgical and produces instant results with little to no downtime involved. It is a relatively low-risk procedure if you are looking to augment your lips to improve your facial harmony. During your consultation at Troiano Facial Plastics we will review your medical history and make sure that you don’t have any conditions or allergies that would prohibit you from enjoying the benefits of this highly sought-after treatment. Our goal is to provide you with the very best lip fillers West Palm Beach has to offer.
In some cases, clients may have had lip fillers performed by other providers where the lip filler may have migrated, or simply been placed incorrectly. In these situations, Dr. Troiano can correct the previous procedure using a filler dissolver. Unfortunately, she has had to do this a lot! This process can be performed in the office, with a 2-to-4 week window suggested afterward prior to performing any further reinjections. After this time, Dr. Troiano can perfect your lips in an often graduated approach. Less is more!

Dr. Troiano offers a variety of lip filler treatments, including hyaluronic acid fillers, bio-stimulating fillers, and natural fillers (PRF injections). Your consultation will help determine the perfect option for you and your goals.
When it comes time for your procedure, Dr. Troiano will apply her expertise as a facial plastic surgeon to selecting the ideal choice of filler for your unique needs.
Prior to injection, a numbing cream is applied to the lips. Sometimes other numbing procedures can be performed to make the treatment even more painless. Pain management is discussed with each patient individually.
Dr. Troiano will then utilize a variety of techniques, depending on your anatomy and desired end point, to place the hyaluronic acid filler into the different anatomic subsites of the lip. With the help of distraction devices and ice, the treatment is quick and therefore swelling is reduced.
Unlike some providers, where an entire syringe of filler is injected into the lips all at once, you will most likely receive just a portion of filler as necessary. As results are immediately visible, we avoid risking “duck lips” by taking our time and adding just what is needed.
Swelling of the lips occurs from the time of treatment and reaches its maximum at 3 days after treatment. Sometimes the swelling is uneven during the healing process but will become even by the end of two weeks, at which time healing has completed. Dr. Troiano is very meticulous with her technique and therefore bruising is kept to a minimum. However, there is no guarantee that there will be no bruising!
Lip filler results, while immediate, are not permanent. Depending on which product is used, the filler can last from 6 months to 1 year. All patients are seen in follow up to ensure that results are perfect and that no tweaks need to be made.
