A brow lift is a cosmetic procedure that addresses the upper area of the face, where the forehead and eyebrows sit. The goal of a brow lift is to pick up the skin in this area and lift it, as the name suggests, to achieve a brighter and more youthful appearance.
A brow lift typically aims to eliminate or reduce the excess skin that can accumulate at the brows and cause the skin to sag or furrow in this area. It can also help to reduce wrinkles and fine lines. Most commonly, this is achieved through plastic surgery. A Botox® brow lift, however, offers select patients the ability to achieve these results through injectable treatments alone.
The non-surgical brow lift uses the popular injectable treatment Botox® to tighten the skin in the area and deliver the appearance of a lifted and more rejuvenated profile. Botox® consists of botulinum toxin type A, a neurotoxin that is carefully diluted to be safe for adults 18 or older.
The Botox® formula is injected directly into the brow area in strategic spots. It works by targeting the muscles beneath the skin that cause the wrinkles and looseness in the skin and temporarily reducing their movement so they smooth over and tighten the area.
Dynamic wrinkles are wrinkles and fine lines caused by muscle movement. These types of wrinkles commonly develop in the forehead and between the brows and can become more noticeable as time passes.
A Botox® brow lift can target the muscles that cause the movement and temporarily reduce their movement to prevent dynamic wrinkles from appearing. The injections can be strategically placed to also help tighten loose skin and elevate the brows. These procedures can be combined or customized to incorporate other areas or treatments to achieve more comprehensive results.
Botox® treatments are customized to suit each patient’s needs individually. Some may require more units to achieve the desired results, which will affect the final cost of your Botox® brow lift.
Some patients may opt to combine their non-surgical procedures for a more comprehensive cosmetic treatment. Dr. Troiano will help you understand the cost of Botox® here at our facility in South Florida.

Botox® injections are not permanent, but the effects can last for a long time if patients get regular touch-ups and maintain a proper skincare routine between appointments. Botox® injections can last anywhere from three to six months before patients start to see muscle movement return in the injection site.
Botox® is a highly versatile injectable with many uses, both on and off label. It is FDA-approved for the reduction of wrinkles and fine lines in the upper face region. It also has many medical uses and can help treat issues like excessive sweating, migraines, and more. Talk to your insurance provider and plastic surgeon to see if Botox® is covered under your plan. Most elective procedures are not.
A Botox® brow lift is generally a painless procedure, with most patients experiencing a slight pinch during the injections. To help ensure a comfortable procedure, patients can opt for topical numbing agents or ice before treatment.
Some bruising can occur but Dr. Troiano takes each patient’s vascularity into consideration in an effort to avoid bruising as much as possible. Additionally, patients are often advised to avoid NSAIDs like ibuprofen or aspirin before and after the appointment.
A brow lift is often recommended for patients who have dramatic signs of aging and sagging skin in the upper face region. However, non-surgical solutions like Botox® can help patients who are beginning to see these unwanted wrinkles and furrows form in the skin and want to prevent them from getting worse.
